2 weeks post hysterectomy: Swelly belly and gas pain

I am two weeks out from a DaVinci hysterectomy, however they ended up taking the uterus and tubes with an abdominal incision rather than through the vagina due to its size.
I'm feeling pretty well now but still get really sore and more swollen in the evenings.
Also, in the morning from the time I wake up until I go #2, I have severe pain in my abdomen. I'm assuming that's just things trying to work themselves out in there, but wondering if it will go away anytime soon. Sometimes it hurts so bad I can't move or talk.
Any suggestions for either of these issues?
