Unsuccessful hysteroscopy yesterday

Good Morning. After 3 1/2 months of bleeding non stop, I finally had my hysteroscopy yesterday. It was unsuccessful. Seems he could not get past the large fibroid, could not tell whee he was and had to use ultrasound to see where his probe was. He did says he may have perforated my uterus. After a 2nd dose of phentanol to ease the pain of the poking and probing he finally pulled everything out saying he was stopping because it was causing me a lot of pain, and he couldn't get into the cavity. He said he would see me in 2 weeks to discuss my options, when I asked what options, he said hysterectomy. Strangely enough I am not bleeding this morning probably because of the provera I had to take the last 10 days. Feeling minor cramping this morning.

Re: Unsuccessful hysteroscopy yesterday

Hello

Journal all of your symptoms.
Pethaps evan gain a second opinion on your case not only for the fibroid but your overall case as well.
Take any pain relievers as you need them.
I am sure this has probably filled you with questions. Jot them down as they come to mind.

You are not alone.
