General Anesthesia and Music????

I was wondering if anyone has asked if they can have headphones and listen to music while under. Probably some stupid rules that say I can't but I would really really love to listen to my favorite songs while I am under.

My guess is you will be told NO! You are not suppose to wear anything going in, no jewelry, no make up, no nail polish, no nothing.

Maybe listening to your headphones while waiting will be ok. But once you get into the OR, you are not going to be aware of anything. My last surgery, I got my little "Margarita" shot into my IV, and about 20 minutes later they wheel me into OR. They had me slide over to the operating table, asked if I was ready and that was it, I was OUT! Don't remember anything until I woke up in recovery.
