Third Surgery-7 Weeks, 2 Days
hi linda. you are one of the people on this site that has inspired me so many times. you have made me laugh when i needed that smile badly. i thank you for this. lots of times, i didn't even know that i had been needing it! i finally got parts of my report, and have been waiting for the rest. i think they don't want to send it as they really did overlook things. for instance, i went into my doc the day after i was released due to upper abdominal pain. i live 5 hours from my doc and hospital and i wanted to be sure that i was okay before i headed over the mountains to get back home. she had an ultrasound done. the tech was alarmed at the amount of fluid in different places in my abdomen. my doc said that it wasn't anything to worry about, and sent me home. i got a report from the hospital that said i had large amounts of fluid, but that i was undiagnosed and released. if she wouldv'e paid attention to this, i don't think that my hematoma would have developed. the records from the docs office didn't even include the ultrasound. what a peach she is! she called on thursday, and said that she just wanted to check on me. funny, the last time i heard her voice was the ultrasound day. i also found out that she requested not to be disturbed the night of my hyst. i guess that is why i wasn't given any effective pain meds that night. -i was given 3 tums. didn't help!- thank you all for validating my feelings. it helps me so much. heather

Third Surgery-7 Weeks, 2 Days
hey ladies. i have a question for ya. as i have spoken about waaaaaaaayyyyy to many times. i have my 2nd hematoma. hy doctors are 5 hours away. i cannot drive that far yet. every appointment, my dh has to take off of work to get me there. we have to figure out what to do with the boys and dogs. and it costs money. i haven't worked in almost 8 weeks. we are broke. broke. broke. i am supposed to go back for an ultrasound again monday for them to check out the size of it, and for an exam. honestly, i am so sick of the drive, the chaos of the poor boys on a ten hour drive in one day, and the doctor's office. does anyone out there have any suggestions? do you think it would be okay if i pushed this one back a week? i have no signs of infection. the pain levels are a little better. thanks. i'm just so tired, and they never give me any good news anyway. it is always the same. "you are stable, see you in two weeks." ughhh thank you, heather

Is there anyway that you could get an ultrasound closer to where you live and just have the report sent to your doctor 5 hours away?

Heather,
Here is something else for you to hold on to:
"For I will restore you to health; of your wounds I will heal you, says the Lord." Jeremiah 17:14
Take Care,

I don't quit know what to suggest. Why is your dr. so far away? What are they saying about the hematoma? Will it heal on its own or will there need to be more surgery? My son had one on his skull when he was little, and they did nothing for it, said it would take some time, but that it would heal on its own. As far as the working, what do you do for work? Is it not possible at all for your dr. to release you for some lite duty just so you can make some money? I understand that money unfortunately is necessary. Maybe you guys could get some financial assistance temporarily? I don't know what is available in colorado, sorry. I just know that here, when you have issues such as these, there are agencies that can help out by paying some of your bills. As far as the boys, if you don't have anyone at all to watch them, take them with you, make sure you take them in the office with you. And bring the dogs too. Maybe then the dr. will get off his *** and help you get well.
