No bowel prep for tah-bso

I had TAH-BSO and I had no bowel prep. No food limitations before either. Just nothing after midnight the day of the surgery. It does seem like it is the doctor's prefrence.

Hi sisters. No bowl prep here either. Although I did take 3 laxative pills in tue after noon after eating my past full meal. Then I continued drinking lots of water and ate a very light meal at six. Surgery went well and this evening I took a stool softener Stomach is growling which is a good sign. Take care.

No bowel prep for me either. I would recommend asking the Dr about taking a stool softener and fiber supplement afterward surgery though, especially if he is giving you lortab or any narcotic type pain med as they cause constipation.
