Re: My questions and background
I'm two and a half weeks out from my davinci surgery. My right ovary was behind and attached to my uterus as where my vowels and bladder. I did not stay the night in the hospital. But that is because I had the davinci an my doctor likes his patients to go home and not stay in the hospital.
I have four year old twins one of whom is special needs and likes to be held a lot. I had my mom come and stay with us for two weeks to help with everything I couldn't do. I still am on a no lifting and no bending so I really need help.
To hold my boys I sit in a chair and have them come to me and climb in my lap. Or I have them lay next to me and put a small pillow over my tummy to protect it. I do not pick them up yet as I do not want to hinder my healing.
Before my surgery I froze a lot of meals and cut up a lot of fruit an veggies. My husband cuts up cheese and extra fruit and prepares cups of milk and juice before he goes to work. So I have easy food to get for them and I'm not lifting or reaching for anything. We also have one room in the house that is kid proofed and has all their toys. They play there while I lay on the couch. I also have let them watch WAY more TV then usual. We've decide that for a few weeks of tons of TV and more snacks and junk food then we ever give them isn't going to harm them
In the long run. My healing correctly is really important.
