Hormonal Mess

Oh my goodness..... I have been a weepy, teary eyed mess for the last couple days! I was able to keep both my oavaries so not on hormones. Puzzled I looked it up on the app I had to keep track of my periods and symptoms (been too scatter brained to delete it yet) and there it was...... my period would have started 2 days ago. I've never been one to be weepy with pms or periods so I'm wondering if any of any of my hyster sisters have experienced this?!?!? I see a commercial that is even remotely sappy and...... tears. Things that usually roll off my back..... tears. Someone please, please tell me this gets better, I'm not used to being a sappy sad person and I've gotta tell y'all I'm not to fond of this softer side of me!

Re: Hormonal Mess

I had both ovaries removed, am on estrogen and cried for 3 days. Then I felt better, then BAM!! I'm sorry your feeling bad. Sending a big hug your way!! I have days when I just want to cry on the phone to someone.

Re: Hormonal Mess

It's been one of those days let me tell ya, I vented to a friend, bawled like a baby to my sister, cried in front of a friend at my tiny humans school.... ugh. It's like every little thing upsets me. A friend of mine, and my niece both get engaged, another couple of friends of mine are excited about planning their upcoming weddings, at least 3 of my friends are pregnant (so not envious), 2 more friends have newborns (still so not envious), and all if this is just completely making me an emotional jealous nut, why you may ask.... because it's my birthday tomorrow (technically today since it's after midnight) and I can't get anyone to do anything with me even when I offered to pay and use my own gas driving to pick them up. Ugggg "normal" me would have said no big deal, I'll just go by myself, but nooooo post op pms me cries like a baby!

Re: Hormonal Mess

Hi Clipster!

I know it's not exactly a great birthday gift, but here's an article that may explain your PMS Symptoms after Hysterectomy.

Re: Hormonal Mess

Hi Clipsister, Hugs to you! I understand exactly what you are going through. Your ovaries might still be in "shock" following surgery. It may take some time for them to wake up & get going again! If it is something that you can not tolerate, you might want to talk with your Dr. about getting a hormone replacement until your ovaries are "working" again It took me weeks until I started feeling somewhat "normal" again!! Good Luck to you
