Right side pain
I had a laproscopic supracervical surgery yesterday and was released from the hospital the same day. I have excruciating pain on my right side that doesn't seem to go away even with Vicodin. Is this normal?

I agree with Jules9004. Call the dr's office or whatever phone# they gave when released. Let them know. Hope you feel better soon!

Re: Right side pain
I also strongly urge you to contact the Dr or the hospital. You never know what could be wrong and you just had surgery so everything unusual should be questioned.
I will be thinking of you.

Re: Right side pain
I would call the number they gave you for questions too. It could be normal but if it is pain that is not controlled by your pain medication I would let them know. You will heal better if you are not in pain. They may just want to change your pain medication or they may want to check you to make sure everything is ok. Best wishes to you.

Re: Right side pain
Hi Spacey Miriam,
I had a LSH nearly 4 weeks ago. The pain sounds typical, and I know you don't want to run bk to your dr just yet, but go ahead and contact the doc. The peace is worth so much.
I had the shoulder and chest pains, difficulty breathing, right side pain - all of which I asked about too. All that your experiencing sounds like post op recovery. Even so, ask questions if you got them, call the doc if needed, and monitor if symptoms worsen instead of subside.
I know it's scary now. Take good care of yourself. REST REST REST. It gets better.

Re: Right side pain
Thank you so much I did speak to mhy doctor yesterday and she assured me I was not having a heart attack and yes surely it was gas pains. I feel better today and the pain on chest and shoulders has diminished. My belly is super awoken and I feel everything moving inside but better today. Thank you so much for the support.
