10 days post TAH

I decided to have hysterectomy after years of period pain. I am glad that I had the surgery however now I am experiencing a lot of emotional crying.
The Dr was able to save both overies . No cancer cells were found . I had endomitriosis, adhesions and they found Andiomyosis .
I just wonder if all the emotional crying is normal.

It's not unusual to feel emotional after the surgery. You have a ton of emotions that you are dealing with. Hang in there!

Re: 10 days post TAH

I think it must be. I had surgery the same day as you and tonight I just started crying and I have no idea why. It was the first time I've cried in a long time and I don't know if it's just hormones or pain or tiredness just catching up with me. Maybe our hormones are just starting to "wake up" again. Don't know but we've been through a lot so I think we should just let ourselves go if we need to help releave some stress.

Re: 10 days post TAH

I have also had some crying bouts. Could be hormonal, but for me, I think is was from the pain pills, which I always refer to a "happy pills." The pain pills would give me a high, but as we all know, what goes up, must come down. When I would come down, I cried. I am no longer on pills and the emotional roller coaster ride is not as strong now. I think that crying is a good way to release, so let it flow when the need is there and just know that this is normal under the circumstances. This too shall pass.

Healing thought coming your way!
