How frightening!!! I pray that you get the feeling back and the burning sensation goes away. I didn't have a spinal so I cannot help you with the answers. I had one for my c-section and had the pain during insertion, but NOTHING compared to you. It scared me so I cannot fathom what you must be dealing with.

I don't know what type of health insurance you have, but you should go to the ER so test could be done ASAP and you need to insist on having a consultation with a neurologist right away. I pray that you will have a rapid and positive outcome and some immediaate answers.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I agree with the others. A good neurologist might help a lot and even if you have one a second opinion wouldn't hurt. Are any of your pain meds helping your back pain at all? It might be a good idea to ask for other kinds of pain meds or at least advice on positiions in bed that might ease the pain a bit. I had sciatica, numbness and tingling down my leg from nerve compression. Not close to what you have, but was told nerves do recover and I did get better eventually. Don't despair. Hoping and praying you recover.

How awful for you. I agree with the other sisters-get to the ER and be seen by a nuerologist. A bit long since the surgery to still have no function to your knees. I pray that you will heal and that you find a Dr. who will be able to help you heal. Best wishes.
