Dandruff due to hormonal change?

I'm on my 6th week now and really, am feeling better -- way better now. In fact, I feel like the 8 lbs I've lost is slowly creeping back in as I feel "the-return-of-my-appetite" . Anyway, I'm wondering....6th week --- am I experiencing hormonol or non-hormonal changes? I am suddenly experiencing itchy scalp and dandruff. The last time I had dandruff was when I was pregnant --- and on my 2 other pregnancies. Is there a connection?

I'm almost 5 months post op and have also noticed itching and dandruff since my surgery (TAH w/BSO). I do believe this is hormonal, as my skin in general (body, face) has dried out a bit too.

My gyn recommended a soy supplement for the dryness and that has helped me. I never noticed dandruff but my skin was very dry.
