Re: CONTEST: Week 2 Happy Birthday Contest!

I know this sounds depressing, but on my birthday I would love to sleep all day so I can dream about my cousin (my best friend) who died in my arms on Feb 22. And I want to take all of my birthday money and make a donation to hospice in his name.

Re: CONTEST: Week 2 Happy Birthday Contest!

My birthday is in May. I would just love to have my husband and children all at home at once. If that can't happen, then I would love to take a genealogy trip to Canada/Boston/Ohio to collect information.

Re: CONTEST: Week 2 Happy Birthday Contest!

So my birthday is a little away March 27. My husband usually cooks me steak for dinner my favorite. Kids usually make me something really special and my hubby gives me money to buy myself something. He says he's scared to shop for me lol.

Re: CONTEST: Week 2 Happy Birthday Contest!

I wanted to celebrate my 64th birthday(Sept 21) with friends on a trip to England. Unfortunately my chemo schedule makes that impossible! They will raise a glass for me!

I LOVE a sushi and hibachi place called Nakashima's in our area! Great place for b-day dinner with my husband and whoever is able to join us!

Re: CONTEST: Week 2 Happy Birthday Contest!

For my June birthday, I like to have everyone over for dinner and cake. And sometimes we play board games like apples to apples or legretto.

Re: CONTEST: Week 2 Happy Birthday Contest!

For my birthday this year I hope to have enough energy to enjoy it. I will be 2 weeks post-op. I plan to sit out by the pool and enjoy the sun!

Re: CONTEST: Week 2 Happy Birthday Contest!

Typically I celebrate for a week or so! My parents who are in their 80's fly into town and the party begins!! We go to dinner the first night and then we do something fun & exciting. We have gone to museums in Santa Fe, Sandia Tram, fun touristy stuff. We stay up late play games & eat a lot of good New Mexican food.

It may seem boring to some but for my parents it truly is a celebration. My mother's parents died pretty young & she had breast cancer when I was only 5 years old. She says that I gave her a reason to live and beat cancer. Being that I'm 41 they say never thought they would see me get old LOL. So we celebrate my birthday and well life. It really is short so we enjoy every minute of it!

Re: CONTEST: Week 2 Happy Birthday Contest!

Since I live within an 1 1/2 from Brandon Missouri I like to go there and catch a show and dinner with my husband the first night. The next day I like to have lunch with my son and go shopping with my daughters. I love to spend time with my family but since the children are grown it is hard and this is one time of the year they will make time for me.

I think that is a great way to honor your cousin
