Pain again??

Okay 2 questions... I had an LAVH on 6/6. This week I noticed my belly button leaking clear fluid and itching-not the incision, but the bb itself. It's making the incision sore tho. Anyone else have this issue? Also, all of the sudden I am having pelvic pain again like I did post op. is that normal?

Re: Pain again??

I'm not sure about the fluid - I'd give the doctor a call on that one. The itching can be a sign of healing, but another good question for the doctor. As for the increased pain, many ladies feel more discomfort in week 3 or 4, as the stitches can be dissolving at this point and the body has to take over what the stitches had been doing. I was the same as you, around 3 and 1/2 weeks I felt like I was back at week 1. It lasted several days and then I was headed back in the right direction. Healing from this surgery doesn't seem to always be a straight line, some days it can seem like one step forward, two steps back. If you call your doc about the fluid, please keep us posted! (((hugs)))!!
