Post op questions.

Hi everyone,

I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer on 7/28/11 just had DaVinci hysterectomy on Monday and came home yesterday. The doctor said there was a good size mass, but it had not attached to the muscle wall and everything looked great! She said I will not need chemo or radiation as she got it all.

My question is this... I just noticed my right leg feels somewhat numb and my toes tinle at times. Is this normal? I was also worried about bm's which I finally had a small one today and finally got rid of some gas pain... but my left shoulder is killing me!!

Anything I should be concerned with or be watching for? As far as the tingling and numbness(even my rear end feels a bit numb) lol.... anything I can do to alleviate the pain.

Thanks

Re: Post op questions.

I used ice paks and acetomenophen (sp). The positions that you are in for surgery can cause those nerve issues. It may take time to heal but you can check with your dr to see what their ideas are on them.
