Need Help from My Hyster Sisters!

A few Months ago, I noticed in the left groin area where my fibroids, are a pocket of skin pushed out. It was soft and felt like it contained air. In the past few days the area has been hurting alot and the pocket now seems to filled and hurts also. I wont be able to see my GYN until monday afternoon. My DH and mom both think it is a hernia from the fibroids pushing against the wall of my uterus and causing a hernia. Anyone else heard or had this happen to them. Thanks!!

I'm glad you're going to see your gyn Monday. I don't have any personal experience with hernias, but I hope someone will be along who can help.

Best wishes!

Tamu,

I've never personally had a hernia but my cousin had one in the groin and she said it was painful as well. You can always go to the local emergency room over the weekend if the pain is too bad.

Good Luck!

Need Help from My Hyster Sisters!

I did not have a hernia at the same time I was having my hysterectomy however, I did have a hernia when I was 12 years old. I discovered it because I had a bulge in my groin area that was very uncomfortable.

If you are having considerable pain call your doctor this weekend or go to the ER.

Thanks for the input. I went to the Dr this morning, but he wont be there until Wednesday. So I have an appointment for 2:30pm. I have 2 services of church tomorrow and have to help with the communion preperation and clean-up, plus with the baptism canidates. I am a Deaconess in my church. If the pain gets to bad I will be going to ER. Please Pray for my strength. Theses are really doing a number on me.
