LAVH: Anyother questions I should ask?

Hi ladies!

Tomorrow I meet with my doctor/surgeon. I have a list of questions to ask, but can you think of anything I should ask him? I'm going to have a LAVH (everything is being removed). The questions I have for him are: 1. Will a pathology report be done on everything that was removed? If yes, when can I expect a copy of the report? 2. I'm a HUGE wimp when it comes to pain. What type of anesthesia and pain medication for after the surgery will be used? I've heard of some women having a shot of morephine before the surgery or having an epidural. 3. The last time I had general anesthesia. I was nauseous for days. Will you be prescribing anything? 4. Will you use a tummy binder on me or will I need to bring one from home? 5. How long will it be before I can lift more than 10 lbs.? 6. I know I should walk after the surgery. How much walking is too much? 7. Should I take Colace before surgery to help the bowels? 8. I live alone. I do have friends that can help me, but how long will I need help? Also, are there any foods that I should avoid or eat more of while healing?
