Re: grooming down there...

I like to keep myself very groomed (I did shave the am of surgery), cause that would just be plain embarrassing to subject anyone to a unkempt area. And my Dr. said nothing on the subject.
I wasn't however able to shave for 2 weeks post-op. The thought of going anywhere near the incision gave me the heebie-jeebies.
As it stands my breadth of hair is far more expansive than is ideal (on my incision) but I'm able to shave around it and just above it. CANNOT WAIT to get a waxing!!! I repeat, I am not comfortable with the expansive triangle! Too much info I know Haha

Re: grooming down there...

I also got used to shaving due to heavy period mess. Thank goodness those days are over! Only shaved the down-low parts though, and close trimmed the triangle. (I almost had to marry my husbands beard-trimmer... lol) yes yes, I know.. way too much info! heh

Re: grooming down there...

No one told me I couldn't shave so I did. I still shave, I'm just very careful around the scar. I can't stand all that hair.

Re: grooming down there...

This conversation is incredibly hilarious! Before I became a nurse, I thought I was on the out crowd that shaved the nether regions. Since, I have definitely discovered that I am part of the majority!

I was told not to shave one week prior to surgery. I would think you would be ok since you are so far post-op. Just be careful. No one wants a prison scar with a beard! Groom Away!
