Horizontal c-sec now vertical hyst.

I was just wondering how the discomfort level would difffer. My c-section was 17 yr ago. I didn't notice that much discomfort back then, my bigger problem was dealing with a colicky baby (who's much better now) :-) I wanted another horizontal cut but my fibroids are too far up and the surgeon said a vertical cut was neccesary. Which cut is easier to deal with?

My mom had vertical and I had horizontal. Both of us have healed well. I think they are both painful and the recovery time is the same. They do ensure that the incisions are closed really well, so there shouldn't be any fear of them splitting open (one of my biggest fears when I was pre-op)
