11 days post op

I am 11 days post op and feel like crap. I had a TLH/OBO and I was feeling good by day 7. Day 8 I got up off the couch wrong and I think I herniated my belly button. It was leaking fluid on Saturday that turned into puss on Sunday. I called the Dr and he wants to see me today. I have to drive my self and hour. I am single mom. My most of my family is out of the country, my sister has some strange virus (which I don't need) and the only girlfriend that could drive me has 4 small children....that does not make for a stress free trip.

I turn 40 on Thursday. I feel like that is a right of passage and really want to have a party for myself. My girl friend will help get my house straited up. I am not going to do much just cake and snacks. But, I am really down. I have migraines and have had one for the last 3 mornings. I will talk to the Dr about the migraines when I see him today....maybe they are hormone related?

My surgery was not timed very well. I have not been well in about 6 months and have been in the hospital 6 times since Thanksgiving. I have had upper right abdomen pain. It is where my gall bladder was. I have had CTs, MRIs, …..the tests go on. The only thing that I had not done was go to my GNY. So I went to him on April 20th. One of the things that the Drs thought is maybe my Endometriosis may had traveled up to that area and causing the pain. So after the Dr did an ultra sound of my uterus and ovaries....it was time for them to go. My family(mom, dad, and sister) was leaving on April 30th and he had an apt on the 23rd. So there was not much time to ready myself mentally. In some ways my family really did not help me. I was just staying at there house, but they were not around. Oh, did I mention that my best friend is my ex husband and that he is moving back to Brazil in 5 days. I just wonder how I will help myself and be able to take care of my son. There was no Endometriosis in the upper right abdomen....just every where else. Now I have surgery pain as well as the pain in the upper right abdomen. The fun never ends.

Thanks for listening to me whine. I just needed to whine and have a pity party for myself for a few minutes. Crying just makes my head hurt...so I will just whine.

Sometimes you just need to let it out. Hope all goes well with the doctors.
Try to take everything one step and day at a time. Look forward to your birthday and if your not up to celebrating reschedule it on the calendar so you can enjoy it in a few weeks.
