How to find MDs experienced with LSH in South Carolina??

This site has really helped me consider, ponder, and re-consider my options. Thank you so much.

I am having trouble coming up with current info on MDs who do LSH in South Carolina. Any ideas??

I've been trying to compile a list of doctors who do LSH since my surgery. However, I haven't found anything for South Carolina.

There is one in North Carolina in Burlington:
Central Carolina Urogynecology, Dr. John L. Washington
It appears there are satellites in Chapel Hill and Duke.

Atlanta:
Center for Women's Care and Reproductive Surgery
Dr. Thomas L. Lyons MD

Nashville, TN:
Drs. James F. Daniell, Calvin Channell, James Lindsey and Stephen Staggs
Centennial Medical Center

I got these names through a long search on the internet. They are the closest I could find to you. You might try contacting them and see if they can refer you.

However, you might think of traveling (oddly enought) to get the LSH. It's done as an outpatient and I don't think travel would be a huge problem. It wouldn't have been for me. My doctor here in Colorado has worked out special rates with several nearby hotels for travelers. I had all the tests etc. done in my town, got a set of the records released to me and then went to see my surgeon.

I so recommend this surgery. If I had it to do over again and did not have my Denver doc, I wouldn't hesitate to travel to a place that had a doctor that could do it. Unfortunately, it is very new surgery and isn't being taught in med schools yet. So, it is hard to find an LSH type of doctor.
