TAH Vaginal cuff?

My surgeon told me and on letter to gp that they removed uterus/womb and the cervix. He left both ovaries in but I keep seeing vaginal cuff on here. But I have no knowledge if I have one or not but I had a TAH

If they take your cervix, they have to do a vaginal cuff to close the opening that would be left at the top of your vaginal canal. It has nothing to do with your ovaries.

I am not 100% positive but from what I understand the vaginal cuff is what the DR makes at the end of the vagina where ther cervix used to be. It is the stop between your vagina and the bladder and other abdominal things. Good luck in your recovery

Yes the vaginal cuff is where your doctor sews up where your cervix was. Closes the opening. I had the same surgery a TAH, uterus and cervix gone, with both ovaries kept.
