Overcame my fear of going all the way!!

Well sisters, I did it - had sex last night with my wonderful hubbie of almost 32 years - felt like a virgin as far as the fear factor!!! He took care of me first (nice, nice outer sex) and then used lots of ky and I got on top. I have to tell you, it did hurt a bit (more like stinging sensation) but not at all like I envisioned. The longer things went on
the better it felt pain-wise. I took heart from other gals who said the first couple of times are more like working to get things stretched out a bit. Another encouraging tidbit - I had started using Vagifem toward the end of last year but it didn't seem to do anything except irritate my cystocele. I asked the dr. at my 6 week checkup if it was ok to resume using it as I had stopped. Got the ok and after a week, I've had more natural lubrication than I can remember in years! So, maybe this helped it not hurt as much as I thought it would.

Overcame my fear of going all the way!!

Hi Kathy

You and I must be about the same age, I have been married for 33 years and also had a LAVH and BSO, I am 7 weeks post op and was told at the 6 week check up to wait another 2 weeks as the stitches were still in the vaginal cuff.

Well DDay is fast approaching and I am also a bit apprehensive so it was really good to hear that I am not the only one.

Dr also advised to be on top (TMI) and DH is rather happy about this prospect. Will of course make sure plenty of KY is on hand. Bummer never needed this stuff when we were teen boppers.

Thought I might organise a romantic night with soft music and just go for it.

Maybe a wine or 2 wouldn't hurt either!!!

Wish me luck and I will let you know how it goes.

Overcame my fear of going all the way!!

I went for my 5 week appointment today and I got released for sex. I'm really nervous! However, I think we will wait another few days to a week because I got a yeast infection! Just my luck get the OK from the Dr only to have an infection. Thankfully my Dr gave me enough antibiotics for my DH to take to so we could go ahead and have sex now. Well see DH wants to wait and I'm scared so I'm ok with it.
