Thanks for everything

Dear All...
Well finally, my day has come. I'm going in on Monday...again, after last months cancellation i don't know if my nerves could stand it being postponed again! But i got rid of my tonsillitis, and now after 8 weeks of that i feel well.

Unfortunately that means there is no reason not to operate now. And my nerves have kicked in again.

Anyway...i'm scared. My tummy has butterflies that feel like elephants tap dancing in there.
I'm nervous about going to the hospital, getting put to sleep, waking up half way through, not waking up, being in pain, having the catheter in....and i'm just scared.

But i guess all of this is pretty normal. I'd be worried if this was a breeze for me!

Anyway, i just wanted to say thanks really. To everyone who has ever corresponded with me and given me the support i've had.
I've had great support from lots of good people on here, and it's really got me through the last dark months of worry.

I will post again when i'm well.

Bye for now
Blade

Thanks for everything

The waiting seems to be the worst part for everybody. It is hard because there are so many things we worry about before surgery. But once you get to the hospital Monday, it'll go by fast and the next thing you know you'll be being discharged. Good luck on your surgery and be sure to come to Post op when you are home and feeling better and let us know how it went. You'll be in our thoughts and prayers.
