I'm new

Hello ladies....I posted in another section~it's ll take me a little while to figure out where to ask quesitons and get support. I'm going to be have a hysterectomy when my husband gets back from Iraq (if that ever happens). I'm only 26 and the thing that scares me the most is how are my hormones going to be afterward.....if my sex drive goes any lower I might find myself sleeping on the couch~LOL! I definately have to have my ovaries removed....they have been overtaken by huge cysts! Any advice would be great...in the meantime I can't wait to get to know some of you!

I'm new

Welcome aboard.

Wow, 26. Can I ask, is the hysterectomy because of the cysts?

god bless your husband. (around here they use DH for Dear Husband as a shortcut)

It took me about a week of posting and poking around before I got the hang of. This site is amazing and SOOOO helpful.

I'm new

Last year my symptoms were heavy bleeding....the clots I was passing was outrageous! I was put on Lupron for 3 months after trying several BCp with no relief. I had an endometrial ablation and I haven't had any problems since then. For the last 4 months the first week of the month I had been experiencing horrible cramps~I thought it was my body returning back to normal...this month was unbearable. I went in for an ultrasound in the office and the doctor thought I had a cyst that burst. He wanted me to have a CA-125 done because the cyst on the right had an "odd" appreance. My CA-125 came back elevated and the doctor sent me for a level 2 ultra sound right away. It showed a cyst on both ovaries that are larger than my uterus. I'm miserable and in constant pain. I'm not a canadite for laprascopy because I have so much scar tissue that causing everything to stick together. I started on Lupron on Tuesday and was told to wait 2 weeks until my pain would go away....my fingers are crossed. We have a 6 year old (who has been an angel through my lack of energy).....we decided a long time ago not to have any more kids. At this point I'm trying to buy time so my DH can be around for surgery~
