Have my date

Well, I went to the gyn today. She is an awesome dr. Loved her the minute she walked in and is very knowledgeable.
I did find out that my fibroid is bigger than what I thought. I thought it was 5 cm but it is 6.5 which she said is about the size of a grapefruit. No wonder I am having trouble sitting and getting comfortable sleeping.
It will be a LAVH, BSO unless there will be trouble getting the fibroid out then it will be a TAH,BSO.
I am hoping for the first since it will only be 4 weeks but I trust my Dr. I know I am a little nervous just because I have never had surgery before. I am actually looking forward to having this done and over with so I won't hurt anymore and no more periods!! Can't wait for that part.
I have time to get things in order and try to lose some weight since it is not until Jan. 8, 2014. I am sure it will go by fast with all the holidays coming.

Re: Have my date

Hi cross-stitcher5-

I am glad you have your date! And, it will be here before you know it - it is less than two months away. Time can really fly!

Re: Have my date

Your lead time to the castle date is about what my doc gave me...it will give you a chance to do lots of prep before...there are many suggestions here what to get done before so you will have a smooth recovery.

I am glad you have a great relationship with your doctor, I also had a woman gyn and I loved her like a daughter...I think it goes a long way toward having a reasonably good time having all this done.

Wow, the size of a grapefruit! That will be a big relief having it gone, something to look forward to for sure!
