I'm concerned about our Vacation

Hello all! I'm scheduled for a TLH on March 24th. I've been working very hard and have went from a size 14 to a size 2/4. My husband and I are going to Mexico June 18th. I'm worried I will look like I'm swollen and pregnant on our vacation. This will be the first time I'm able to comfortably wear a bikini. Am I worrying to much? Does the swollen belly I'm reading about happen to everyone? Should I cancel my surgery until after my vacation??

Congratulations on all of your success with becoming a healthier you! Swelly belly does not happen to all of us. It also tends to get worse as the day progresses if you're on your feet a lot. I personally say rock that bikini and don't worry about a little swelling that you may not even have! Of course, you may want to make sure your Dr is ok with you traveling outside of the country at that point after surgery. Good luck sister!

Re: I'm concerned about our Vacation

You will be about 3 months post op at that time, I would guess that you won't have much if any swelling by that time. Relax and get ready to enjoy your trip, what a nice thing to look forward to after surgery!

Congrats on your weight loss! 👏🏼
What an accomplishment.

I believe you're having a Laproscopic which means a faster recovery.

Take it easy with your recovery and you'll be just fine. Other women have taken vacations four weeks post-op.

As another poster said rock that bikini 👙 and reward yourself for being courageous! 😊
