Happy ____ weeks to You...

Hi Everyone...Whatever "week" we are celebrating...here is a special wish for all of us....

God bless all of us. Remember to give your loved ones a and a . Celebrate the fact that you are home with loved ones. Even though you think they do not know what you are going through, they do in their own way... Take the time and rest as needed. The dishes and vacumming can wait! Indulge in something sweet every once in a while..your swelly belly will not know the difference! Even when we suffer through the pain of a BM know that this will be a distant memory one day. Think positively, appreciate life, and laugh each and every day! Recovery is slow, but we will all get through it together....

Thanks, Teacher7! Your wise words are echoing in my head as I look around and appreciate the things my loved ones did and are doing for me since my surgery. May we all keep the healing to maximum and the grouchies to a minimum!

Happy ____ weeks to You...

Sometimes it takes a drawback to apprecaite what we really have. I learned to look past so many of the "little" things that bother me everyday. It is not worth it. Being positive and laughing even when we are in pain does not allow the discomfort of a surgery to totally take hold HAVE A GREAT DAY

You are so right!!! My family has been so gentle with me ever since I scheduled my surgery. I feel their love so strongly! They keep a close watch on me post-op. We are Blessed! Carolyn

Teacher 7,
Thank you for those words of encouragment. I think that we all needed that... Week 5 here, soon to be week 6 going back for my 6 week check-up on Wednesday.
Here is a great big to all of my Sisters out there for all the help and compassion that you have shown.

Thanks,

Hi Maverickswife! I am also on 5 weeks and actually feel that within the past few days I turned the corner in terms of mobility. I feel more energetic, although I still am not back to what I consider normal. Congrats on 5 weeks and I am sure your check up will go well. Mine is tomorrow

Hello sisters! It does become a distant memory. I'm 8 months post-op and wondering where the time went. I feel great. I oftentimes think back to my early recovery days and remember feeling I would never get to this point. Like teacher7 says recovery is slow but we all make it together.

I remember reading a post when I was about 2 months out that said there is a light at the end of the tunnel. There certainly is!!

Continue being the princesses that you are and know that one day you'll look back and wonder where the time went.
