Heavy bleed scare

I woke up this morning around 3:30am and could tell that I was bleeding. My underwear were soaked and my sheets, too, with bright red blood.

I'm 3 weeks post op and haven't had any sort of bleeding like this at all! I stayed home from work and hubby said to call the doctor. Doc wanted me in this morning to check me out.

It turns out that I had a hematoma that burst. He said it was a good thing it did burst because it could have caused some serious issues. This could explain why I had so much pain the past few days. I thought it was from the added stress of being back to work, but it very well may have been the hematoma.

Some days I feel like I'm completely paranoid. I've been to the doctor's every week for one thing or another, but he seems to be okay with it. He assured me to call whenever I have questions or concerns. I was thankful for that.

I just want to be 100% back to normal. This has been a huge emotional roller coaster for me, and I just look forward to when the ride ends.

Re: Heavy bleed scare

Hey Sweetie! I had the same heavy bleeding yesterday , I soaked 2 pads!!! Went to the E.R. , seen my Doc and found out that a blood clot came loose from a blood vessel that my cervix was attached to and bled out..It closed itself back up , I did spend the night for observation , My doc is very protective so he wanted to make sure I was Ok and that I would be there if it happened again.. , Now hopefully it will heal itself as well!!! I am right there with you , I am so ready for this ride to be OVER and to be 100% me again..I am sick of the wondering and questions and the worries!!!! HUGS , We will make it through this and we will be strong as h*ll when come out on the other side! We all will be!

Re: Heavy bleed scare

You know what's totally strange , I have ZERO pain anywhere?!?!?! The story is kinda weird but I am 4 weeks 3 days post op , decided to test the equipment IF you get my drift , to make sure it still worked , Well , It does and apparently the squeezing from the "O" caused the clot to dislodge..I am a bit freaked out , but I have to wait 3 weeks before I do anything again...

Re: Heavy bleed scare

I had bleeding too. I have the same side pain as anita. i have a large cyst that pushed blood out of a hematoma. Most of us have hematomas we just don't know it till something else happens.

Re: Heavy bleed scare

I had a pressure feeling on my cervix area, or where it used to be. It has been pretty painful at night when going to bed. It still hurts in that area today but I'm sure it will go away soon, now that the issue has been resolved.

As far as 'testing' the equipment, I've been way to scared to even attempted anything.

Re: Heavy bleed scare

sex after this is one of my biggest concern also. im 35 and its a very important part of my relationship also, and this has already takin a tool on us dealing with pain from ovarian cysts, endo, and it would hurt to have sex. when ur a very sexual couple then stuff like this happens its hard to deal with when u cant. and now after my hysterectomy im worried about how its gonna be, is it gonna feel the same to me? to him? am i still gonna have the sex drive that i did before? is he going to be able to deal if i dont? how is this going to effect an already strained relationship? all those "what if" questions and worries.
