8 month post-op and spotting...

Hello,

I am close to the 8 month mark after hysterectomy with the removal of ovaries. I am still requiring the use of a mini pad for a watery brown leak tinged with pink.

Does anyone know if this is considered a normal part of the healing process at the eight month mark. I certainly do not have that daisy fresh feeling so many women have told me they experience after hysterectomy.

I am hesitatant to contact the surgeon because I am hoping that it will run its course and disappear, but am beginning to realize that this may be wishful thinking. Every article I have read refers to periodic bleeding that is either red, bright red or dark red and nothing seems to fit with the symptoms I have.

I would appreciate any advice I could get.
Thanks kindly.

I would call the dr. Mine stopped about week 5 or 6 and then only had spotting once after that for 2 days when I overdid.

Good luck.

Definitely get it checked out - especially if it's an everyday occurrance. 8 months out seems to be a long time to have this happening.

I would call your doctor. I had some of that early but it stopped within a few months. Does it have a bad odor (TMI, I know)? But at around 4 months I had some light tan discharge with BAD odor. I went to gyn and had a culture done and turned out to be bacterial vaginitis. Went on metrogel for 7 days and have not had any discharge since.
