My new TAH date is July 9th, due to Fibroids

I posted here a couple days ago, about my surgery being moved up due to the Fibroid that i passed on Tuesday. My new date is Monday July 9th, i had my pre-opt appointment this morning. They gave me a care package to bring home for the night before my surgery, i got a Enema, Suppository and a Incentive Spirometer. Sounds like i will be having a fun night on sunday. LOL
I am ready for the surgery, the pain has not gotten any better, my gyn gave me a stronger drug this morning, my drug of choice Vicodin. I am hoping it will take the pain away. Between the side pains, bleeding to death and passing the Fibroid i know i made the right choice on having a TAH. I will update you on how my surgery went when i get home from the castle!!!! angela

So glad that you had your date moved up to Monday. You do sound ready to have this surgery, and you are sounding really positive. Thats great. You are going to feel so much better to have this all done and over with. I hope the pain meds you rec'd will give you a reasonably painfree weekend.

Oh yes, don't you love the little care package.....when I got mine I told them I would rather have an apple and a few cookies in that bag... but we gotta do what we gotta do right?

Well,your wait is almost over..Yuck..arent those enemas just the pits(I called my Dr back,and asked if I had any alternative to the enema..I lucked out with peri-colace....so much better than that icky thing
I had a TAH too,and can happily report that I am doing just great.I have had a smooth recovery so far,and feel sooo much better.This weekend will probably be tough for you,mine was,I was nervous,antsy,you name it,and the weekend just dragged onnnnnn..
