Cleared for outercourse but concerned

As far as sex, my dr said at two wks I was ok for outer course only, havent though, want to sooo bad, but afraid it can affect my healing, can it?, will it hurt if I have an orgasm this point iny post op? im at 3 wks today

Wow connie. I would say be careful. You may not get an infection, but you could tear your stitches wide open and have to start over again. Even if he is pulling out before he finishes, he is still in you and could hit the vaginal cuff and you could tear. The way I see it is yeah I want to have sex, bad, but I would rather wait 4, 6, 8, or 12 weeks and make sure that I can enjoy sex for the next 40-50 years than go early and possibly ruin the chance of having great sex for good. Along with tearing and infection you can cause nerve damage that can prevent you from fully enjoying sex down the road. Why risk that?

As for me..we were not having alot of sex prior to my LSH..not really thinking about it now!!! I just want to recover..sex is going to have to wait!! Honey is fully aware

Orgasms should be fine especially if cleared by your dr.

I'm almost 8 weeks post op and resumed intercourse at the end of week 6 with no problems

Just listen to your body, if it hurts stop and wait for clearance for intercourse. You will probably notice cramping, pinching and pulling in the hours after. That eases up later on.

Good luck While we're not back to normal yet, sex is so much better than it ever was for me
