LAVH: Would Love a good nights rest before Wednesday!

I am scheduled for surgery this Wednesday! I am completely prepared I have done the freezer meals, stocked my pantry, cleaned Everything and suddenly find I am a basket case! I am so nervous that I try Not to think about it. Yet I have woken up all weekend wide awake at 3am and can't go back to sleep. I wanted to relax before and am having such a hard time! Is anyone else finding that even with the best efforts all they think about is surgery? At preop they told me anesthesia may be putting a central line in to better monitor things since the surgery was so long and yes that has been source of worry also!

My surgery is tomorrow and yes, as it draws closer and closer I find myself getting more nervous and anxious. I really thought I was prepared for this in all ways, but today I am really finding out otherwise. LOL!

We will both be through this before we know it so keep on thinking good thoughts and I'll see you on the other side. Praying for a successful surgery and speedy recovery!

My surgery is June 28th on my birthday! I will be my gyn's second patient to perform the Da Vinci Hysterectomy on. Good luck to you and God Bless You!

I'm waking around three or fourish too, and really want to rest up before surgery wed, but no luck! My mind starts doing the lists of all things to prepare for and won't let me sleep! But sounds like there will be plenty of sleeping after

I feel the same way. I had a central line for some surgery last year and LOVED it! I found that it didn't pull like an IV, the pain Meds hit super fast, and all the blood work was taken from it.

ah, sleep. i remember u well, my old friend! sounds like you have everything taken care of on the home front, so that is all good. soon, all this worry will be over with and u will be on the other side and u can concentrate on ur next step, ur healing! i envy u going into surgery tomorrow! mine is next wednesday, and i wish it was today! just ready to get it done. the more i wait, the more anxious i get! good luck tomorrow, asgosnel.

I did fine up until now with surpressing the nerves! Once again was up before dawn and have baked a pie, scrubbed the floors and changed my bed! Hoping to sit by the pool with the kids and catch a nap today! Thankfully NO bowel prep for me..thank you so much for all your support😄
