method now known-FEAR sets in

Well for all those who have been helping me out ... I found out this morning I will have a TAH/BSO with horizontal incision. The date remains 5/30 (for some reason I was scared they'd change it). So after anticipating the pre-op appt and learning how they'd do the surgery, being scared they'd change the date, how do I feel afterwards?

SCARED.

It's like, I was scared they would cancel it, but since they didn't I'm scared that it's coming! All of a sudden, it seems REAL to me.

And, I'm suddenly starting to get possessive about my body parts!

Thanks for listening. God bless all of you who prayed for me! No private room, but all other prayers were answered!

Hi, Rosa,
Just remember - scared is normal!! And you'll probably be even more apprehensive as the date gets closer.
But, your hystersisters will be right here - helping you along!
And waiting is the worst part. Once your surgery is over, it's such a relief to just relax, rest and allow yourself to be pampered.
Wishing you the best,
Dianne

Rosa,
It is normal to be scared. But now you know. There is probably some relief there, that one question is answered.

I'm glad you had most of your questions for your Dr answered. Too bad about the private room, but a roomie isn't that bad.

Join us in chat later and we can talk about it.
