holy mood swings 7 weeks post hysterectomy!!

I'm 7 weeks post, with one ovary left and healing physically fantastic... but man do I get moody :-( I can't seem to handle anything... any irritation, disappointment has me over the top upset, frustrated or angry. I'm guessing hormones are wotking since I'm back to getting that monthly chin zit LOL
My question is, is there a chance those OTC hormone alternatives would help??? I can't even stand myself sometimrs, I know my poor husband is frustrated

Did you address your concerns with your surgeon? Or perhaps a women's medical center that specializes in HRT or BIO's?

Did you have pms before your surgery? Since you kept one ovaries, you will still have a fluctuations in hormones. I take 5HTP 50mg at night and it helps. You can get it at Walmart or Walgreens. Maybe keeping a journal and then it to your doctor will help them understand what you need.

I'm 44.... back when I could take bc pills, they helped the pms symptoms but with my hbp dr wouldn't let me take those anymore

Give 5HTP a try. It's a herb and over the counter so what could it hurt. And I am sorry you aren't feeling good. I suffer from bipolar depression so I know what you are going through. (((hugs)))
