Total abdominal hysterectomy: Under the fold the cut is not healing and still leaking 3 weeks later

I have a question please. I had TAH on december 1st, all is healing well, no problem except where the fold is it[on the bottom of the cut] is still open about 1" long and leaking some light yellow liquid. Doctor said it is ok because it does not get any air there. It is 3 weeks now. How long do you think it takes to heal or when should I get some care for that spot. I am changing dry gauze on it as they said every time i go to the bathroom and it still leaking.

Blow it with a hair dryer on a warm setting a few times a day.. It really helps.

Thank you so much I will try that. It drive me nuts after 3 weeks. it is quite open and leaks.

Would you know how long it takes to heal there?

I had a part open and.leaking yellow stuff. It took about a month and then it formed a scab. It fell off a week later and now I have a great looking round scar there.. Ugh.

Same here, 3lb! cyst on the ovaries so they took everything out, no cancer though. All is healing very well and fast except under the fold. it looks like a pit of a plum, like oval shape, open and leaking. I change dry pads every hour or so.
