2 weeks post-hysterectomy light headednes/dizziness and headache

Hi everyone! I love this site...it has been a great resource during my pre and post op time. I underwent a LAVH (laparoscopic hysterectomy) 2 weeks ago. They took the uterus, tube but I still have my ovaries. I was feeling pretty good, following doctors orders and just letting myself heal. HOWEVER, for the past three days I have had a feeling of light headedness, dizziness and dull headaches. It seems to be worse when I actually lay down and try to rest it off. I am no longer on any heavy medications and have been just taking ibuprofen when needed. It is starting to really bother me and worry me.

Has anyone else had experience with this...setting in a couple weeks after surgery?

Thank you so much for your time!

Hi there,
I am on day 13 post op and I too feel a little dizziness and lightheadedness when I get up from bed. I have been overdoing a little bit by going out for a slow walk for the past two days. Are you pushing yourself at home too much? This might also be because of not eating and drinking enough. I feel more tired when I forget to drink as much water and juices as I need to.
Hope this was helpful. Wish you a great, fast recovery.

Thanks for replying! I am really trying to push the fluids...harder than is sounds these days. I wasn't eating too much the first bit due to all the meds and overall tiredness, but have been really focusing on eating well and staying hydrated...slow going. Hoping this doesn't last forever.
