Belly Band

Will I still need a belly band if my surgery is suppose to be vaginal?

I didn't have a need for an abdominal binder or swelly belly band (which can be chilled) after my TVH. It's probably a doctor's instruction and/or personal preference for many.

I had a TAH complete with swelly belly and never used a belly band. I tried some supportive grannie panties but found that I didn't like the pressure on my tummy.

I think this is something that you need to try to determine if it will work for you. I have read posts from ladies who really liked it and those who didn't use it.

Thanks for the info. I don't like tight things around tummy so it would probably drive me up the wall.

I would wait and see after surgery. My Dr prescribed abdominal binder in the hospital. I had lavh. I thought it would be uncomfortable, but it helped alot. I don't like tight things either. I used it for 5 weeks and than switched to light control underwear.
