Question on swelly belly!

Jeans are my favorite and most worn article of clothing (even at work.)I tried wearing them 3 weeks post-op and they were pretty uncomfortable. At the beginning of this past week(4 weeks post-op), I wore them to work and they fit a little better. Yesterday, I wore jeans again. We went up to the mountains to visit a friend. We stayed up all night chatting. I finally got out of my jeans a couple of hours ago, and I feel great! It seems to be getting better all the time. I have had no problem wearing skirts, from the get-go. My swelly belly was pretty bad in the beginning, and it has definately improved. I guess everyone is different. I'll tell you one thing........I was not much of a skirt gal before but since wearing them I have had lots of compliments , DH loves it too and they are sooooooo comfortable! I think I might stick with them even after this whole swelly belly thing is over........and it will be over, lol....

Okay, this is going to sound really silly, but before I had surgery I thought I knew what y'all meant by swelly belly, but now I'm not so sure. Is it that constant pressure of feeling like you have a tourniquet around your gut? Mine seems to be both lower and upper abdomen and gets very uncomfortable by the evening. Also, my waist seems to have moved. Underwear and things that I could wear before (although a size too large), I'm now having to roll at the waist band because there is no longer a defined waist at my belly button - it's lower. . . is this totally strange. . . has anyone experienced this? (I'm three weeks post-op)
