had uterus& bladder sling done on Monday 3/15 I never had a B.M. @ the hospital before my discharge on Tuesday 3/16. I took stool softeners @ home the following Wednesday, and by Friday still nothing so I took some "correctol" laxatives that Friday morning.
By Friday night my husband went and bought me a bottle of Magnesium Citrate so yes I was in allot of pain to bring myself to drink another bottle of that stuff again.
So its now 9pm and my bowels are finally working, but here is what worries me, I was very impacted had too strain & push allot. I started too spot bright red, and am having a hard time holding my urine again.
I am pretty much scared to eat most things right now and am downing the water like its going out of style.
Saw my Doctor on Tuesday morning, after an exam said that everything appeared to be normal.
Does anybody know if I could have really done some damage?
If I did would he be able to go back in and fix it.
I get concerned because even though my mom underwent a different type of surgery in 1987 for her hyster. she reminds me not to do too much in fear of "popping" a stitch on the inside like she did.
I don't mean to sound silly about any of this, but I want to heal the way I am supposed too, I am 30yrs old with 3 kids 10,7,& 5yrs and overweight due too not thinking of myself in a long time. And instead of getting myself too upset over having to get a hysterectomy, I thought about the 3 blessings that I have been given and saw this surgery as a new door to be opened for my own health.
