How Often are you wearing your belly binder??

I have really bad swelly belly and have been wearing my binder quite often. I wear it to sleep, when I walk and today I have had it on since last night. Am I wearing this too much? It just makes me feel "put together". My incisions are healing fine so that's not a problem. My question is how often is too often?

Re: How Often are you wearing your belly binder??

I wore it almost constantly for about the first five days. I would sometimes loosen it when I was reclined on the sofa to let some air get to my incisions. After that, I started finding I wanted it off during the day as it was starting to chafe some so I just slept in it only for the next few days. I am 12 days post op and have now slept without it the last two nights and done fine. I was also able to walk at a local park fine without it - just wearing some fairly supportive but stretchy yoga pants.

Re: How Often are you wearing your belly binder??

I wore mine a lot. The variation in how long I kept it on was really to do with how hot I got. I also mixed it up a bit by sometimes wearing a binder , sometimes support pants and sometimes normal nix. That meant I go a feel of how much support I needed or wanted doing different things. Going out for walks I tended to use support nix as they worked better with my clothes.
