Protruding sutures

Anyone have any trouble with protruding sutures? My incision is closed with sutures beneath the surface. I didn't have any staples. Now I have one li'l thread sticking out of the lower part of my scar. It doesn't really bother me when I am wearing the bullet-proof support undies, but it does catch on my undies when I wear the regular cotton variety.

I had the same problem when my gallbladder was removed. I ended up yanking them out myself, after several weeks since they were so annoying . I wouldn't dare do the same thing now, since my gallbladder scars were really tiny, but my hyst scar is 7 inches long.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

I didn't have staples either, but I did have dermabond glue with steri strips over that and when I took off the steri strips there was a suture sticking out. The Dr just cut it off with a pair of scissors and the rest of it just dissolved.
