Re: staying home / taking step back

Okie dokie then. Thank you, Denise. I just got off the phone with my doctor's office. Nurse said I shouldn't be bleeding as much as I described and that I was probably doing too much. I have an appointment tomorrow at 2:30. If I feel better in the morning, I'll go to work until 2:00. If not, I won't.

I so want to be healed and to be superwoman once again and really didn't think i was doing too much...go figure...

I am glad I called now and didn't wait another 10 minutes since the office would've been closed!

Re: staying home / taking step back

Lacey,

put away your super women cape and put your PJ's back on, take off the make up, and give your car keys to someone who will not give them back to you to soon. Your best friend is rest, feet up, ice pack, ice water to drink. relax, relax and do it some more.
I would hurt so bad, I had heating pack on my back and ice pack on my tummy and wanted to know if it was ok, to put a pop cycle inside me, I didn't but the tought sounded good at the time. So rest, and stop the stairs for a while.

Re: staying home / taking step back

Now your being a good girl. I didn't have any issue with steps, I have them in my house and was only told to take it easy and not to make to many trips, but even now if we go some place and I have to walk alot or climb a hill or steps I feel it. Like I said, let your body rest and heal, I wish I had. I knew better too. 15 years ago I had my gullblader out, had it done and a Fri, was told to take off 2 to 3 weeks, I was back to work on Monday, and lifting things with in weeks, I still have a pain were my gulblader was at, I told myself I would not come to work the first week, that didn't work, I had made plans to go out of town with my DH the 3 and 4th weeks after, that fell apart 3 days before my surgery, I had hoped to stay 2 days in the hosp, they sent me home after 26 hrs. I tried hard to be good, but just didn't listen to my body or my comonsence, I let SUPER WOMEN take over, then I found out I was not super women, just DUMMY Women. I'm still tired, still cant get my self charged back up to 100%, still get very pain full cramps, fell like someone is stabbing me with a hat pin inside me thur my vag. I still bloat. These are all things that should be gone, but ....... Now I have to deal with being dumb.

Re: staying home / taking step back

Doc said I definitely overdid it. Applied silver nitrate and advised to limit my stair climbing, walk slower and to behave my myself. Back to work I go tomorrow. He'll see me again on the 27th.

He did say something interesting. He said he now recommends no sex for EIGHT weeks for all his patients. Just to be on the safe side...

I feel better, still tired and will definitely take it easier at work...

Re: staying home / taking step back

Sorry to hear that you did over do it and needed the silver nitrate But at least you got stopped before you did to much damage. Wish someone would have done that for me.
I have a question Why no sex for eight weeks.
