Operation cancelled, now 21st Nov .... Feel lost
I had been taken into hospital early due to other medical complications, with my actual operation due to take place today. So I had my pr-med, got down to theatre and just as I was due to go under anesthetic, I was told that 1 of the 3 surgeons needed for my operation was not in the hospital and no other surgeon could step in! The other problem is I need to go into high dependency unit for a couple of days when I come through, so I need one of those to be available.
I'm booked back in for 21st November, but I'm so over emotional, I feel so let down, I don't know what to do except climb under the covers and not come out 😢😢

Re: Operation cancelled, now 21st Nov .... Feel lost
I am so sorry! The mental gear-up and count-down to surgery are huge, not to mention the practical home/work/meal/family arrangements you have likely put in place. I feared my surgery would get postponed due to a minor illness I had and all of these things were swirling in my head.
I suspect you are reacting in a very normal way. Hang in there!

I feel for you sweetie!!! I can't even fathom
But I suppose you have to tell yourself that everything happens for a reason. It is better that they were honest with you and not go through with it with other personnel, etc. That could have been a nightmare.
Always look at the positive side. I know it is hard right now but of course you can come here and vent, cry...whatever! We are here for you!

Operation cancelled, now 21st Nov .... Feel lost
My surgery was cancelled and scheduled for 2 weeks later. I was very upset at the time, but also know that everything happens for a reason. I had my DvH last Wednesday. Had a collapsed lung in the process but I am doing good now. The delay could have been devine intervention. I used the extra time to get several things done that I didn't have time to do before. **hugz**

I'm so sorry this happened to you, but I can't help but agree with BluesMel. Perhaps this was divine intervention.
It will all work out in the end. (((Hugs)))
