In just two short days, all of this trouble will be over!

Hiya!

I go in for my LSH on the 22nd, it was a pretty quick decision on the part of my docs. I've had fibroids and hyperplasia for years, have had 4 D&C's done, and the last one was just over a month ago. The gyn also performed an ablation hoping to control my abnormally heavy bleeding. It worked for about two weeks, then two days before I was scheduled to return to work, I began bleeding again.

I've done BC, and progestin, had blood transfusions, had a scare where they told me my hyperplasia was atypical (it wasn't, someone read my report wrong, that was a scary few months of thinking I had cancer), just years and years of dealing with the same issues and never having doctors open to a hysterectomy because I was 'too young'.

Thankfully I finally found a team of doctors that gave me the time and respect I deserve, took into account all the difficulties I've had and agreed that my best solution is to have the LSH. This was decided on yesterday, after a followup appointment with my gyn. I can't tell you how happy I am that I'm finally getting this surgery!

So, anyhow, here I am. I'm very glad to be here!

Good luck on the 22nd. I am going in that day too, for a TAH. Hope you have a restful holiday when it is all over. See you on the other side!

Re: In just two short days, all of this trouble will be over!

Good luck. It's a great feeling knowing that you're going to feel better soon. After 12 years of endo, fibroids, and PCOS I feel like I've been given a gift and a second chance at life and I'm only 12 days post TAH. I can't imagine how good I'll feel in a few months or a year!
