6 wks post op and having sharp pain
I was told by my Dr yesterday that the vaginal cuff appears to be somewhat seperated in one area. I had to convince her I have not had sex yet (which I don't even want to think about) and have not picked anything up heavier than a gallon of milk. I have to wait 2 more weeks before I can pick up anything or do anything. Today I am exactly 6 weeks post op and went back to work. I have a clerk position at a hospital. So a majority of the time I just sat down. I did have to get up and down a good bit. Now I am having sharp pains just shooting through the area just above hairline. I don't know if this is just because it was my first day at work or if this could be from the vaginal cuff. Has anyone else had this same experience? Not sure if I should call the Dr in the morning and let her know what is going on or just wait and see how I feel after working tomorrow.

6 wks post op and having sharp pain
I'd give the Dr. a call. I had a TVH Oct. 2, and I am still adjusting. It seems
every day is different. Sometimes I'll have pain, then I'll feel fine.
But I've found since I went back to work Nov. 17 th I've been calling the
Dr. more than I did just after surgery. I am not a winer but I have
questions and sometimes they give me just peace of mind. I've had
some vaginal pain, more since she did the six week check up with the
liquid whatever. Which is normal it's tissue mending and nerves coming back to life. So give the Dr a call mine and her staff have been a blessing.

Thanks for the encouragement. I will give them a call in the morning. I will be taking something so I can get some sleep tonight. I know I'll be fine, I'm just worried they will have to go back in to fix the cuff and I'm not sure what all that involves. I sure don't want to have to have anymore surgery anytime soon.

6 wks post op and having sharp pain
I am also 6 weeks today and was having pains when I sit for long periods so I went back to my doctor who gave me an additional 2 weeks at home. I notice, if I am on my feet for lengthy periods or at a desk (was studying for exams) I would get sore tot he touch at the side - in the area of where my ovaries are - they were retained. So you should call the doctor ... hope you feel better soon

6 wks post op and having sharp pain
I'm going to call the Dr, I just feel like I'm complaining all the time. I had the 5th week when I was feeling really good. I had to take a pain pill just to go to sleep last night. I haven't had to take anything in the last 2 weeks until now. I took one today just to ere on the side of caution. I also went ahead and told everyone at work today that I'm doing less today then I did yesterday which wasn't very much. I'm not really hurting around where my ovaries are. I'm thinking it's more where the cuff would be. It also feels a little bit swollen in that area this am.

6 wks post op and having sharp pain
Well, I called the Dr and they told me I had done too much. Who ever knew just sitting in a chair can cause to feel extremely exhausted and hurt? I am still working just trying not to do too much again. Luckily today we only have clinic half a day. Thank you for all of your support and encouragement.
