Endometriosis after Hysterectomy

Hello everyone! I am in desperate need of people that have as bad of luck as I do! I am 28 years old and have had 3 sugeries THIS year for endometriosis. I had a partial hysterectomy first and they found endo and andomyosis. Then 6 weeks later I had a mass on my ovary...they went in abdominally AGAIN, and took out both ovaries and had to do alot of repair work on my colon. Then I got scar tissue AGAIN, and they went in 6 months later because I was in so much pain, and removed more masses of endo. Now if that is not enough, 3 weeks after my surgery, which was this time done by a surgeon, My endometriosis is BACK!!!!! I just can not get rid of it! I am at my wits end, and i do not know what to do. My doctor wants me to now take Lupron shots, but I am so scared and I haven't heard of anyone taking it after a hyst. I just need some advice. They were talking about surgery again, but I have to have my surgeries done abdominally, and I just can't have surgery every month. They even wrapped my intestines in a "saran wrap" type stuff this last time, and it didn't work.. if someone could please give me advice. Believe it or not, i don't have a problem with depressin, but I am so tired of hurting..It is like no pain imaginable, and I don't know how to get rid of it. Please help!

Endometriosis after Hysterectomy

Crystal,

Im so sorry you are going though this!! You are not alone either..Im 5 months post and still have endo also..I was told if i lost my ovaries it would kill the endo..I did the lupron for 3 months before hyst and went without hrt for 3 months after.. IVe been on the climara for 2 months...Pain was better off the estrogen but never gone, the estrogen flared it back up even more...Dr cut my dose in half for a month to see if that helps, so far it hasnt...Hes talking more surgery or lupron again...He said lupron takes all estrogen out of your body, even what your adrenal glands make...Im tired of surgery, menopause and pain....

My endo was not removed at surgery, Dr said there was too much and it was on my major organs...I know if I have more surgery it will be with a endo specialist...Excision, where they cut all the endo out...

A hysterectomy helps alot of women but not all of us..IM not sure why that is but I know I have deep endo so that might be why...plus not being removed to begin with...

Are you on hrt??? Some women do good adding progesterone.. My Dr wont prescribe it so im going to get a otc cream..Check out the road less travelled forum, there are other women going though this too...Im sorry you are hurting, I would wish this pain on no one!!!!

Wow

i am recovering after having a total abdom hyst on sept 20th in which my endo attached to my appendix and it was removed. i have had numerous surgeries and meds...i was on lupron for 6 months prior to my surgery and it didnt do anything but increase my stress..I already had enough stress..always feeling terrible and having a terminally ill spouse, and two teenagers...i am currently taking prem .09 mg and am feeling good..ocassionally a tear or dr. jeckel mr. hyde syndrome ....tummy still swollen...my fear is having the endo come back....need to feel good to take care of my family.....feel like a druggie from all the stress meds I have been on.....just taing xanax as needed now...i hope that they can one day cure this. I suffered for over 12 years and am only 35. Just wanted to add my 2cent story...
