Home and doing okay...

Had a TAH and the removal of one tube. Ended up with a repeat cut through the bikini scar from my c-section.. so not a vertical... although the fibroid was huge and they almost oculd not get it out.

Still need my persocet, but think I may start weaning off that tomoorw.

Indeed.. the worst part of all of this has been the wait.

Glad you are home Willow and doing ok. Only wean yourself off the pain med if you can take over the counter meds. Others wise take it when you need it. thats what is is for. Do take it easy and rest and don't forget to pamper the princess.

Good to hear you are home and doing well Remember to take it easy and don't over do it ! Definitely don't wean yourself off your pain meds too early. They will help you keep your pain at a minimum and help you relax.

I've been checking in but not posting much. Too stressed to gather my thoughts to write...You were the only one I posted to about how I was told a swelly belly wouldn't be to bad since the removal of such a large uterus would leave plenty of room.
Anyway, I am so glad to hear you are home and doing well with surgery behind you. Mine is scheduled for Aug 16 and I'm silently petrified. I really hope the wait will be the worst part.
Was/is the swelling bad? Too soon to tell?
Again, since I hadn't seen you post anything, I was wondering if you were alright. Thanks for letting us know there is hope at the end of the tunnel. Why do they always seem to schedule a month or so out and make us wait in agony. I've been in a dither over how to best use my time.
