endo linked to ovarian cancer?!?

ok, I go for my pre ops tomorrow. Dr. at 1130 and hospital at 130.
I have been planning to keep my ovaires if possible but now I am having second thoughts. That is because people keep saying that I have a higher risk for ovairan cancer due to the endo and I should have them out. What are your opinions (I know they are opinions and do not replace my dr's advice)
I will be 39 in oct and have no family hx of ovarian cancer.

endo linked to ovarian cancer?!?

Hi doodledee,
This link provides a list of risk factors for ovarian cancer: http://ovariancancer.jhmi.edu/riskfctr.cfm

and another one: http://www.cancer.org/docroot/CRI/co..._cancer_33.asp

I had not heard that endometriosis was a risk factor for ovarian cancer. Having had ovarian cancer, you can be sure that I have studied that.

If you are concerned, do ask your doctor.
