Had da Vinci on may 15, 2012, now head soaked at night since 6/10

Had major complications from what was to be a 1 night stay... Turned into an 18 night stay with c- diff infection, nicked bowel during da Vinci, three drainage tubes, and then a full exploratory lap? To repair the bowel. Now I am concerned that my head is drenched after I sleep for just one hour. Has happened 4x in last 24 hours. Had reg periods before my ovarian cancer stage 4 chemos from 11/2/2011 to 3/30/2012. My oncologist does not think head sweats are a menopausal relation. Concerned I may have yet another infection.... Ring a bell with anyone? Thank you. Kathi (age 54)

I am no expert but from experience and from talking to friends, I would hazard a guess that your head sweats would be related from lack of estrogen due to your ovaries being removed. I don't know about head sweats with infection. Usually, with infection you have a fever. Back to your hot flashes/head sweats, I use sage (the herb) for my hot flashes and though it doesn't get rid of them completely, it does reduce the number and severity. I hope this helps.
