Re: Heaviness and pressure in vagina

Me too. Have mine (partial hyst, cystocele, rectocele, and bladder sling) on 9/18. I had a vaginal approach and have a episiotomy. I tried sitting last night with a pillow and then a ring. I only sat for 5 minutes then I couldn't stand the feeling of pressure. Now the pressure had decreased somewhat but it feels as if my episiotomy as ripped a bit. Anyone else have these issues, and how long does it take to feel comfortable to sit up. Ugh!

Re: Heaviness and pressure in vagina

I am so glad someonereplied to this post. I posted almost the same thing and did not get any response. When I went tomy first doctors appointment, my doctor told me that it was inflamation of my vaginal cuff. I get it almost everyday now (will be 6 weeks post op Mon) and sometimes feel like the feeling you would have in labor to push.
A couple of days ago a did a very small kegel and it seemed to help a little. I go back to the doctor on Fri and I am going to address it again.

Re: Heaviness and pressure in vagina

I was going to start another thread but this one seems to fit for my question.

I also have pressure/pain in the vagina area..almost like it was before I had my surgery (uterine prolapse). Well I am about to panic since there's no uterus so why the same pain?

It's been almost 7 weeks since my surgery. I even woke up with the light pain. Will it ever end? I did see the doctor a few days ago. He cauterized and checked for infections (no infections).

I can't wait to be back to normal...I just pray I will be normal again!

Re: Heaviness and pressure in vagina

I'm 3-1/2 weeks post op TVH for uterine prolapse and rectocele repair and the pressure is definitely keeping me from getting on with life. Went out to a quick, casual dinner last night and was absolutely exhausted. The evenings are the worst, and I do work at a desk sitting up at home where I can take as many breaks as I need. Driving is really uncomfortable. Have a concert in a week and then a 3-hour drive mellow vacation the next and am hoping for some improvements by then.
